Welcome to Diecast World

Listed below are the many different companies that make up our Diecast World

Manufacturers
and Wholesalers

To many to list here but

Take a look at Diecast Society, its one of the best sites to keep you up to date with model releases and it has links to the majority of manufacturers websites. Whilst the general public can't buy from a wholesaler, it is a good guide to what products are available, what is new and what future models are due. John Ayrey Diecast is is a popular one.

Clubs

Plus Swap meets and Toy Fair Dates.

The UK model shop directory lists Toy Fair dates and clubs in your area plus much more.

The Collectors club of great Britain is another site with loads of information.

The Corgi Model club and the Dinky Toys Collectors Association are recommended as well.

Model shops

Some have real shops as well as online shops

Antics have several branches as well as their online shop. Diecast Legends are great as well and Modelmatic have a great range of 1:64 scale models. If you are into aircraft then Aviation Megastore.Com is worth a look, and for model bus collectors EFE Zone is a great resource with news and a great library of previous models. If historical figures are your passion then the William Britain website is for you.  Finally, we should not forget the Corgi and Oxford Diecast websites.

Auctions

Plus learn and have your say

Vectis Auctions have regular Diecast Auctions which you can view on their website plus they will give your collection a valuation if you are thinking of selling.

If you like to read about other peoples views and collections  * MAR Online is a great site to visit and you can have your say as well. * Short for Model Auto Review.

And there's more

Magazines

Read all about it with a magazine that brings you the latest model releases, auction results, interesting articles and reviews and readers letters.

Diecast collector and Collectors Gazette are the most popular.

Price Guides

If your buying and selling or just curious about how much your models might be worth then a diecast model price guide is the answer. There are two main ones.

Ramsay's British Diecast Model Toys Catalogue and

The Toy Collectors Price Guide.

Online Marketplace
and Trade Shows

There are many online sites selling a variety of goods including diecast models. The most popular of these would be Ebay and Amazon. Just like Wholesalers, trade shows do not sell to the public but you can get information on new models etc on their websites. The two main shows are the International trade fair in Nuremberg Germany and the London Toy Fair at Olympia. These take place Jan / Feb time each year.

Toy Fairs

By far the most fun, the Collectors Toy Fairs range from the Large events at the NEC in Birmingham to smaller local venues like our own popular Toy Fair in Plymouth. A chance to have a good close up look at the models and maybe engage in a bit of haggling. Chat to other collectors and friends, Enjoy some food and drink and pick up a bargain.
